Your changes

For yourdomain.com, at Network Solutions:

Email records (MX, TXT) stay exactly as they are. We never need your password.

Take a screenshot of your records before you change anything. If something goes wrong, you can put them back.
Your new site is already live on its temporary address, so there is no rush and no downtime.

STEP 1

Sign in to your Account Manager.
Select Domains on the left, then your domain (yourdomain.com).
Scroll down to Advanced Tools and select Manage next to Advanced DNS Records.

STEP 2

Select the pencil on the A record that Refers to @. Set Points to 2.25.245.213 and select Edit.
Do the same for the A record that refers to www. (No www record? + Add Record, type A, Refers to www.) If www is a CNAME instead, delete it first.
Your domain may point at a Network Solutions "Under Construction" page (205.178.189.129). Changing the @ record replaces it.

We use an A record for www here because it's a built-in choice on this screen. Either works.

STEP 3

On the Advanced DNS Records page select Classic View.
Under IPV6 Address (AAAA Records) select EDIT AAAA RECORDS, tick each record, select Continue, then Save Changes.
Forwarding: back on your domain's page, under Advanced Tools, open the web forwarding entry with the pencil, select Delete, tick the box and confirm.

Continue doesn't save. Finish with Save Changes on the confirmation page.

Leave Mail Servers (MX) and TXT records alone.
